Regulations for the AWDF
FCI IPO
Championship Team Selection
Team Entry Submission

By June 10th each breed club may submit the names of up to 6
handlers-dogs teams to the AWDF/FCI Team Selection Committee
-
Submission of names must include copies of their respective
scorebooks.

Submission of scorebooks accompanied by the FCI IPO Declaration
form will be considered as notice of intent from the handlers.

The top two eligible dog-handler teams from the AWDF Championships
will be included in their breed club's team submission for a total of 6.
Handler/Dog Qualifications

All handlers must be current members of their respective
breed clubs and in good standing.

All handlers must hold a scorebook issued by the AWDF; their
respective AWDF member breed club; or approved by their respective AWDF
member breed club.

All handlers must have a record of proper sportsmanship conduct
for the previous 3 years.

All dogs must be registered with an FCI recognized registry.
-
If you have a veterinarian's certification for the procedure
to remove the testicles, the dog is qualified to participate in the FCI
Championship.

All dog-handler teams must have a minimum of 2 passing scores
from national or international competition.

The qualifying scores must be achieved within 12 months of
the entry deadline.

All handlers must be in compliance with their breed club's
selection criteria.

All handlers must contact their breed club directly regarding
their intent to compete.
AWDF/FCI Team Selection Committee Guidelines

The Committee will request team submissions from the breed
club Delegates and Presidents via E-mail
-
The Committee will make this request at 1 month prior to
entry close, and again at 2 weeks prior to entry close.

The Committee will request volunteers for the position of
Team Leader along with team entry submissions.

The Committee will be responsible for submission of the AWDF
Team entries to the FCI.

The Committee will assist the AWDF FCI Team Leader as necessary.

The AWDF FCI Team will be filled by the following guidelines:

The top two eligible dog-handler teams are automatically
chosen to represent the AWDF at the FCI IPO Championships and are subject
to the FCI IPO Team qualification rules.

The remainder of the team will be chosen from the breed club
submissions using the highest average score from 2 national and/or international
trials within a 12 month prior to entry closing date
-
A total of 3 alternates will be chosen using the same criteria
as the rest of the team.

The first alternate may accompany the team to the Championships.
-
The following two alternates will be utilized as necessary
to fill the team.

The Committee has the authority to select additional dog-handler
teams for the FCI Team, if there are not enough teams declared by the breed
clubs.

The AWDF IPO Team Committee may change the date of entry
close if necessary.

The Committee Chair will give sufficient advance notice to the breed club
Delegates and Presidents of any changes.

FCI regulations
